Should convicted perv Adam Britton be thrown to the dogs, or the crocs?

Convicted of cruelty,  bestiality,  & child porn

DARWIN, Australia––Adam Britton,  53,  arguably the world’s most famous crocodile expert,  is now also arguably the most notorious convicted perpetrator of bestiality,  sadism toward dogs,  and possessor and transmitter of what Northern Territory Supreme Court chief justice Michael Grant called “the worst category” of child sexual abuse materials.

Britton was not accused of personally committing crimes against either children or reptiles,  but testimony describing his crimes against dogs may call into question his occasional role in identifying child victims of crocodile attacks.

Pleaded guilty to 60 counts

Britton on August 8,  2024  “pleaded guilty to 56 charges relating to bestiality and animal cruelty.  He also admitted to four counts of accessing child abuse material,”  reported BBC correspondent Tiffanie Turnbull.

The court heard that Britton “filmed himself torturing the animals until almost all died,”  39 of 42 dogs known to have come into his possession in all,  “and then shared the videos online under pseudonyms,”  Turnbull said.

“Court documents seen by the BBC,”  Trumbull continued,  “only detail his crimes over the 18 months before his arrest,  but still fill more than 90 pages.

Arrested in April 2022

“Britton was arrested in April 2022 after a search of his rural Darwin property,”  Turnbull added.  “Much of the detail of Britton’s crimes are too graphic to publish,  and so ‘grotesque’ that chief justice Grant warned the courtroom they could cause ‘nervous shock.’”

Grant told Britton at sentencing that his “depravity falls entirely outside any ordinary human conception,”  he said.

Ordered to serve 10 years and five months in prison,  including time served since his April 2022 arrest,  Britton is to become eligible for parole in September 2028.

Justice Grant also banned Britton from owning any mammals for the rest of his life.

“Exchanges with ‘like-minded’ people”

Reported Turnbull of the courtroom testimony,  “Exchanges with ‘like-minded’ people in secret online chatrooms detail how Britton began molesting horses at the age of 13.

“For at least the past decade,  Britton had exploited his own pets and manipulated other dog owners into giving him theirs,”  by responding to “free to good home” ads.

After taking dogs,  Turnbull summarized,  if the people who gave him dogs “reached out for updates on their old pets,  the court heard he would tell them ‘false narratives’ and send them old photos.

“In reality,  he was abusing the animals in a shipping container on his property that had been fitted out with recording equipment – which he called his ‘torture room.’  He was only caught after uploading a clip in which he tortured at least eight dogs,”  seven of them puppies.”

“Asked how to dispose of the dogs’ remains,  Britton––who shared his sprawling property on the outskirts of Darwin with eight crocodiles – said “some I feed to other animals.”

Wife reportedly fled

Born in West Yorkshire,  England,  in  1972 as Adam Robert Corden Britton,  Britton “graduated from Queen Elizabeth’s Grammar School in 1987 and earned an Honors degree in Zoology from the University of Leeds in 1992,”  offered Maroosha Muzaffar of The Independent.

“Britton completed his PhD in Zoology from the University of Bristol in 1996,”  Muzaffar recounted.  He moved to Australia that same year and met his future wife,  Erin,  a wildlife ranger and biologist.  The couple established a consultancy specializing in wild crocodiles.”

Becoming a research associate at Charles Darwin University in Darwin, Australia,  Britton went on to appearing in BBC,  Discovery Channel,  and National Geographic screen productions,  including with David Attenborough.

Erin Britton,  saying she knew nothing of her Adam Britton’s perversions,  reportedly fled Darwin and changed her name after his arrest.

Croc attacks on children

Britton was at times called upon to advise authorities about suspected crocodile attacks,  including,  for instance,  a March 2013 case in which a teenaged boy with a mental age of seven fled from foster care in the Kimberley region of Western Australia,  more than 830 miles southeast of Darwin.

His mangled body was found a day later in a mangrove swamp.
“Searchers who found the body followed footprints been seen by a helicopter pilot from the air.  The footprints formed a pattern that suggested the disorientated teen had been walking around in circles trying to find his way out of the mangroves,”  reported Marnie O’Neill for the Daily Telegraph.

“Zoologist and crocodile specialist Adam Britton examined the body,”  along with two forensic pathologists,  O’Neill wrote,  “and found the boy’s injuries were consistent with a crocodile attack,  although Britton could not say whether they had caused his death or were inflicted post-mortem.”

Send him to the most notorious prison in Oz and let all the inmates know what he did to animals and that he enjoyed seeing kids being molested. . That would be rough justice, which he so richly deserves.

A relative had a good friend who was married to a prison guard, who related that, at that time at least, inmates had zero tolerance for animal abusers and pedophiles. I know things have changed since then, and society is in the toilet. But I hope this is still true and I hope that the subject of this article enjoys the treatment he so richly deserves in the worst accomodations available.

This guy deserves to be subjected to some of the worst torture methods employed during Roman times. I’ll bring the popcorn.

Australia needs the death penaltly for crimes like this, and for serial murderers. Why should anyone pay to keep this horror in prison, and to be back in the community in a few short years?
A person’s character can be judged on how they treat animals.
